Seventeen students and graduates from Everest University Online, a division of Everest University, participated in the Walk for Hope, held at the Phoenix Zoo in Phoenix, Ariz., on October 2. The Everest participants also manned a fundraising booth at the event, collecting a total of $1,270.
Walk of Hope is a national series of eight fundraising walks and a national virtual walk that benefit the women's cancer research, treatment and educational programs at City of Hope.
The City of Hope, headquartered in Duarte, Calif., is a national research, treatment and education institution for cancer and other life‐threatening diseases. The institution is perhaps best known as a cancer treatment center. It has been designated a Comprehensive Cancer Center by the National Cancer Institute, a branch of the National Institutes of Health.
