Why You Should Become a Massage Therapist

The American Massage Therapy Association reports that the number of Massage Therapists has risen dramatically. AMTA estimates roughly 250,000 and 300,000 therapists and students in the United States.

The U.S. Department of Labor says that the employment for massage therapists is expected to increase 27% or more through 2014. This is great news for students of massage therapy programs. As always, it’s a good idea to find out what the employment rate for massage therapists is like in your specific area. These statistics published by the U.S. Labor Department are based on national demand—and that demand may be greater or lesser in your particular area.

Everest College trains students for careers in Massage Therapy. Most training programs take about 9 months to complete.
