First Lady Laura Bush Recognizes Everest University Graduates

Everest University – Pompano Beach graduates received special commendation from Laura Bush at their May 9th commencement ceremony.

The letter was a surprise to all and a special addition to the ceremony for the graduates.

Kerry Little, General Education Program Director, made the initial request and the letter arrived just in time for the ceremony. Over 1,400 were in attendance, in addition to the 199 graduate.

Here's what the letter said:

Dear Students,

Congratulations as you graduate from Everest University!

Thanks to Everest's faculty and to your own hard work, you have the skills to succeed in the workforce. Many new opportunities and experiences await you, and I urge to you embrace each one with enthusiasm. And I hope that along the way, you will lead a helping hand to others in your community and show your appreciation to those who encourage you.

Your future is bright. May it be filled with good health, good friends, and good work.

With best wishes,

Laura Bush
